Instead of a formal lesson this evening, I have invited Bradley Hardee, the choir director at Kingston Presbyterian in Conway, to lead us in a hymn-sing after dinner tonight. As we read a few weeks ago, Paul instructs us that we should be “addressing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody to the Lord with your heart.” Eph. 5:19. Please join us tonight around our piano as we follow in Paul’s instructions. Dinner is at 6. The menu is Amy’s homemade gnocchi with Bolognese sauce. We’ll start singing at about 6:45.
Next week, I will be at St. Anne’s at Rev. Kevin Sparrow’s formal installation as their rector. Amy will be here with dinner and assembling Christmas stockings for kids in Western North Carolina. Please bring your contributions this week. We still need $20 Wal-Mart gift cards.
Our Thanksgiving Dinner and Eucharist is on November 26. Please let us know if you plan to attend. We will have sign-up sheets out tonight.
Hope to see everyone tonight for our hymn-sing.
