Last week Mary reminded us that the Psalms are meant to be sung, not simply read. Attached are two musical selections incorporating the words of Psalm 119. The first is the Evlogitoria (“Blessed are You, O Lord, teach me Your statutes”) used at memorial services in the Eastern Church, which draws on Psalm 119:12 (13), 26, 33, 64, 68, 124, and 135. The second is a more modern selection drawing on Psalm 119:105 (“ Thy word is a lamp unto . . . “) If you know of any other selections that you have sung in the past, please forward those on.
Hope to see everyone tonight.
